CGTN Français Highlights China–France Industrial Cooperation Through NXpark’s Green and Smart Industrial Park in Wuxi

Nov 6, 2026

CGTN Français has featured NXpark in its documentary series China and Europe: Opportunities, Not Challenges, highlighting the evolving nature of industrial cooperation between China and France. Jiang Zhe, President of NXpark and CEO of Aden Energies, was interviewed for the program, while the Schneider Electric Green and Smart Industrial Park in Wuxi, invested in, developed, and operated by NXpark, was showcased as a leading example of bilateral cooperation.

The second episode, From Manufacturing to Co-Creation: How French Companies Are Evolving in Wuxi National Hi-Tech District, explores how China-France cooperation is evolving beyond manufacturing toward local R&D, market-driven innovation, and the creation of new opportunities alongside Chinese partners. Through examples including Schneider Electric and FORVIA, the program highlights how French companies are deepening their presence and strengthening their innovation capabilities in China.

Why French Companies Continue to Invest in China

Wuxi National Hi-Tech District offers a valuable perspective on the evolution of China-France industrial cooperation. Over the past two decades, numerous French companies have established and expanded their operations in the district, continuing to invest and strengthen their local innovation capabilities.

For a growing number of European companies, particularly French firms, China’s appeal extends well beyond manufacturing. Its mature industrial ecosystem, vast market scale, and continued innovation opportunities remain strong attractions.

As Jiang Zhe noted in the interview:

“China’s industrial ecosystem, manufacturing capabilities, and market scale are highly attractive to French companies.”

Through its work with advanced manufacturers such as Schneider Electric, NXpark has witnessed a shift in how multinational companies view China, from a manufacturing base to a hub for industrial collaboration, innovation, and long-term growth. By integrating industrial park development, energy management, and digital technologies, NXpark helps multinational companies establish, expand, and optimize their operations in China while supporting their long-term development.

Wuxi Schneider Electric Green and Smart Industrial Park: A Showcase of Green Manufacturing

The Schneider Electric Green and Smart Industrial Park in Wuxi, developed by NXpark, was one of the documentary’s featured case studies. As the first completed and delivered project within the Sino-French Industrial Cooperation Park in Wuxi, the facility has been described by Schneider Electric as a “super factory” and represents an important milestone in advancing smart and sustainable manufacturing.

Schneider Electric’s Wuxi site was recognized by the World Economic Forum as an End-to-End Lighthouse in 2021 and was subsequently designated a Sustainability Lighthouse in 2024, placing it among a select group of manufacturing sites worldwide to have received both distinctions.

Officially brought into operation this year, the Schneider Electric Green and Smart Industrial Park serves as an important platform for the company’s next generation of green and intelligent manufacturing.

Covering 4.3 hectares and offering approximately 68,000 square meters of gross floor area, NXpark Wuxi serves as Schneider Electric’s only electronics manufacturing center in China.

Designed and built to the highest regional standards, the facility features a two-level production layout, with assembly operations on the ground floor and electronics manufacturing on the second floor. It is equipped with an automated smart logistics warehouse and temperature- and humidity-controlled storage facilities. A comprehensive HVAC system, including 100% fresh air supply, air recirculation, and VRF systems, supports warehousing, manufacturing, and office operations across the park

The facility is also designed with provisions for future rooftop solar photovoltaic installations, supporting the adoption of renewable energy and low-carbon operations in the years ahead.

Beyond providing industrial infrastructure, NXpark supports operations through the Akila digital twin platform and Physical AI-enabled operational capabilities. These technologies enable equipment risk alerts, visualized operational management, and automated carbon emissions data collection.

Together, these capabilities help Schneider Electric streamline ESG reporting and audit processes while supporting capacity expansion, operational efficiency, and compliance.

From Individual Projects to a Broader Industrial Ecosystem

The Schneider Electric Green and Smart Industrial Park in Wuxi is not only a representative example of NXpark’s collaboration with leading international manufacturers, but also an important part of the broader Sino-French Industrial Cooperation Park.

Developed through cooperation between China’s National Development and Reform Commission and relevant French institutions, the park has become an important platform for industrial collaboration between the two countries.

NXpark Wuxi focuses on key sectors including green and smart manufacturing, new energy, advanced materials, and environmental technologies, attracting French companies to participate in its continued development.

By moving beyond individual projects toward the development of a broader industrial ecosystem, the Sino-French Industrial Cooperation Park continues to deepen practical cooperation between China and France.

In May 2026, NXpark received the China-France Cooperation Award from CCI France Chine in recognition of its contribution to the Sino-French Industrial Cooperation Park in Wuxi, further acknowledging its role in advancing industrial cooperation between China and France.

From Wuxi to Guangzhou: Expanding China-France Industrial Cooperation

Looking ahead, Jiang Zhe outlined NXpark’s vision during the interview:

“We aim to build a new generation of industrial infrastructure that is green, intelligent, people-centric, and digital, leveraging our digital capabilities and expertise in new energy.”

Building on the experience gained in Wuxi, NXpark is extending its green and smart industrial park model to additional regions across China.

In September 2026, NXpark and Schneider Electric signed a cooperation agreement with the People’s Government of Zengcheng District, Guangzhou, to jointly advance the Guangzhou Green and Smart Industrial Park project.

From Wuxi to Guangzhou, and from individual projects to broader regional collaboration, NXpark continues to connect international manufacturers with new opportunities in China. By providing green, digital, and future-ready industrial infrastructure, NXpark is helping lay the foundation for the next generation of smart manufacturing.
