NXpark Partners with Magna to Develop a New Energy Vehicle Components Manufacturing Hub in Hefei, China

Oct 29, 2026

Another global automotive supplier chooses NXpark to support its next phase of growth in China.

On October 27, NXpark, the Hefei National High-Tech Industry Development Zone Administrative Committee, and Magna, one of the world’s leading automotive suppliers, signed an investment agreement to develop the NXpark International New Energy Vehicle Components Industrial Park in Hefei, Anhui Province. The project represents a total investment of approximately USD 21 million.

Magna provides technologies and systems across seating, body and chassis, electronics, and advanced mobility solutions, serving many of the world’s leading automakers. After establishing operations in Hefei National High-Tech Industry Development Zone in 2014, Magna is now expanding its manufacturing footprint in the region. For this new project, the company has selected NXpark to provide capital investment, turnkey project delivery, and long-term park operations.

The agreement marks another milestone in Magna’s growth strategy in China while further strengthening NXpark’s position as a trusted partner for global manufacturers.

Building a Manufacturing Platform for the Future of Mobility

The industrial park will cover approximately 6.7 hectares and include nearly 52,000 square meters of gross floor area.

Designed specifically for the needs of the new energy vehicle industry, the park will serve as an integrated manufacturing platform supporting Magna’s seating-frame business, including research and development, production, warehousing, and logistics functions.

The project will incorporate intelligent warehousing systems, digital facility management capabilities, and energy-efficient infrastructure from the outset. The park will also include clean energy applications, smart energy management systems, and advanced environmental treatment facilities to support Magna’s sustainability objectives throughout the lifecycle of the development.

The project presents a complex delivery challenge. The site’s proximity to a planned rail transit corridor creates demanding engineering conditions, while the targeted production start date in mid-2027 requires close coordination across design, construction, and commissioning activities.

Supporting Growth Through a Full-Lifecycle Partnership Model

As an established global manufacturer with extensive operations in China, Magna has the capability to independently develop and operate manufacturing facilities. For this expansion, however, the company chose a partnership model that enables faster deployment while reducing the complexity associated with facility development and long-term operations.

Under this model, NXpark will serve as the project’s investment and development partner, providing capital investment, delivering a customized turnkey facility, and supporting long-term operational requirements.

Leveraging Aden Group’s expertise in industrial facility management, energy services, and digital solutions, NXpark will support the project throughout its lifecycle, from facility planning and design to construction delivery, park operations, maintenance, and digitally enabled facility management powered by the digital twin platform.

Drawing on extensive experience serving multinational manufacturers, NXpark incorporates environmental, health and safety (EHS), sustainability, and operational requirements into projects from the earliest planning stages. This approach helps ensure facilities are designed not only for efficient production, but also for long-term operational performance.

For manufacturers such as Magna, this model provides access to a purpose-built, production-ready facility while allowing management teams to remain focused on their core business: manufacturing, innovation, and growth.

Building Long-Term Partnerships with Global Manufacturers

From Forvia and Dongshi Lear to Schneider Electric and now Magna, an increasing number of global industry leaders and Fortune Global 500 companies are choosing NXpark as a long-term partner for their manufacturing operations in China.

In Xi’an, NXpark developed a high-end automotive components manufacturing park that has attracted leading suppliers including Forvia and Dongshi Lear. The park has reached full occupancy and supports a growing ecosystem serving China’s rapidly expanding electric vehicle supply chain.

In Suzhou, NXpark developed the Suzhou International Automotive Equipment Industrial Park, attracting MCi, a leading automotive equipment manufacturer, and further strengthening the region’s advanced manufacturing ecosystem.

In Wuxi, NXpark developed a green and digitally enabled industrial park for Schneider Electric. The project established a benchmark for sustainable industrial development and China-France industrial cooperation. In September 2026, the two companies expanded their partnership to Guangzhou, extending this model into the Greater Bay Area.

Beyond the Yangtze River Delta, NXpark continues to expand across key automotive and advanced manufacturing hubs in central China, including Zhengzhou and Jining, while also growing its footprint in Southeast Asia through projects in Vietnam and Malaysia.

Today, NXpark manages more than 10 million square feet of industrial space across major manufacturing markets in China, supported by a growing international presence.

Building on this expanding network and its operational experience, NXpark continues to provide end-to-end industrial infrastructure solutions that help multinational manufacturers establish, operate, and scale their businesses efficiently across China and Asia.

Advancing Electric Vehicle Manufacturing in Hefei

The partnership between NXpark, the Hefei National High-Tech Industry Development Zone Administrative Committee, and Magna brings together global manufacturing expertise, industrial infrastructure capabilities, and a strong local supply-chain ecosystem.

Magna’s new facility will further strengthen Hefei’s position as a leading electric vehicle manufacturing hub, while enabling the company to expand production capacity through an asset-light and operationally efficient model.

As manufacturers continue to adapt to changing market dynamics, they require more than industrial space. They need infrastructure, operational support, and long-term partners capable of supporting growth at every stage.

By combining investment, development, and operational expertise, NXpark helps global manufacturers establish, operate, and scale production efficiently, supporting long-term growth in China and across Asia.
